1987 Gold "Half Eagle" Token, Pollock-5450, MS63 NGC. According to Andrew Pollock, this privately struck variety was "issued by Fred Zinkann of Montgomery, Illinois. They ... were struck by Pressed Metal Products of Vancouver, British Columbia ... [and] intended to serve as pattern pieces for the 1987 Constitution Bicentennial $5 coin." The mintages were six pieces in 0.917 gold (Pollock-5450), two pieces in hafnium (P-5455), 100 pieces in silver (P-5460) and 88 pieces in tungsten (P-5465). A well struck matte-finish apricot-gold example. Pristine aside from a small smoothed area on the reverse field between the second and third columns.
