1987 'Half Eagle' Privately Made Pattern
    Pollock-5465, MS63

1987 "Half Eagle," Pollock-5465, R.4, MS63 NGC. 11.8 gm. Per Pollock, "these pieces were issued by Fred Zinkann of Montgomery, Illinois ... and were struck by Pressed Metal Products of Vancouver, British Columbia. They were intended [by Zinkann] to serve as pattern pieces for the 1987 Constitution Bicentennial $5 coin." Struck in tungsten with a plain edge. The low relief design is very softly struck but the stone-gray private pattern has only trivial post-strike detractions.
