    Description

PCGS 1858 Indian Cent, Judd-213, R.5, PR 64. The obverse is the adopted design of 1859 and is paired with the regular die of 1860-1908 with the familiar agricultural wreath. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. The near-gem displays clear silvery surfaces that are accented by a rich golden tone at the rims. Perhaps scarcer than its R.5 rating.

With the superb catalog, a masterwork prepared by Mark Borckhardt, the sale was destined to meet all of my expectations; that it did, and then some. Be assured that I would highly recommend Heritage Auctions to any of my associates contemplating the sale
