Description
PCGS 1881 Three-Cent Nickel, Judd-1668, R.6, PR 63. Three-cent nickel pattern featuring the head on the obverse similar to that used on the adopted five-cent piece of 1883. The reverse has a Roman numeral III in the center, surrounded by a wreath of cotton and corn. Struck in nickel with a plain edge. Lightly hairlined, the surfaces actually look much finer. Nearly brilliant with just a touch of light rose color on each side.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2AJT, PCGS# 62064, GSID# 15010)
