    Description

Undated (1869) Pattern Quarter Dollar Die Trial. Pollack-3371, unlisted in Judd. Struck in lead. 9.58 grams or 147.81 grains. The Denly Specimen, examined by Q. David Bowers and Andrew Pollock on June 29, 1992. A rough looking piece with much oxidation evident. Struck on an irregular, octagonal shaped lead planchet, the figure of Liberty, of the type of Judd-727 as seen in the Standard Silver series, is finely detailed. Presumably unique.
