Description

1921 Peace Dollar, MS66
High Relief Design

1921 $1 MS66 NGC. After the challenges that the High Relief Saint-Gaudens double eagles posed 14 years earlier, it is perhaps surprising that the Mint would again attempt production of a high relief design. Like all circulation strike 1921 Peace dollars, this Premium Gem shows design weakness at the centers. However, the presentation is medallic, and the preservation is exceptional. Both sides have satiny silver luster with delicate gold toning. NGC has only certified six numerically finer examples (9/17).(Registry values: N2998)
