1921 Peace Dollar, Silver-White MS67
Outstanding Registry Coin
Tied for Finest Certified

1921 $1 MS67 NGC. Ex: Dr. Kevin Frank Sr. Collection. As the first year of issue for the new Peace dollar design, the 1921 is also the only year this design was struck in high relief, save for a handful of 1922 matte proof examples. For some reason unknown to us, the High Relief double eagle has always received accolades from collectors, even in the year of issue, but the High Relief Peace dollar is greeted with less enthusiasm by most numismatists. Just over a million pieces were produced in December 1921, and as one would expect, high grade, well struck examples are now very elusive. This coin shows strong striking details for the issue with rich, frosted mint luster liberally coating the surfaces. Each side presents a fully brilliant, snow-white appearance as if the coin was recently struck. As expected of the assigned Superb Gem grade, there are no mentionable marks or other distractions. A conditionally rare example worthy of a close look and a spirited bid. Tied for finest certified by either service. NGC Census: 7 in 67, 0 finer (3/20).(Registry values: N7079)
