Description

Uncommonly Well Defined 1921 Peace Dollar, MS 65 NGC

1921 $1 MS 65 NGC. While the average 1921 Peace dollar displays soft detail over the central areas, this specimen is noteworthy for its exceptionally crisp impression. Although not complete, the hair strands above Liberty's ear, as well as the eagle's leg and wing feathers, display actual delineation that does full justice to the beauty of Anthony De Francisci's inspired design. The untoned, frosty surfaces reveal a smooth appearance that does ample justice to the respected gem grade designation. Always in demand among advanced type collectors, we anticipate that this special dollar will elicit strong bids from collectors who recognize quality at this technical grade level.
From the Gilchrist Collection of Dollars.
