Description
Excellent Superb Gem 1922-D Dollar
1922-D $1 MS67 NGC. This issue is readily available through the MS65 level, while Premium Gems can be acquired with patience and searching. Coins such as the present example in the lofty grade of MS67, however, are elusive, and anything finer is virtually unobtainable. Slivers of electric-blue, purple, and gold-brown patina cling to the lower obverse and upper reverse rims, and lustrous surfaces are well preserved. The design elements are better struck than ordinarily seen. Among the finest examples of this introductory Denver Mint issue.
