Description
Splendid Toned MS 66 '22-S
1922-S MS 66 PCGS. One of the most conditionally scarce Peace dollar issues, this '22-S almost defies belief in its sharpness of strike and surface preservation. Overlaying both obverse and reverse is a heavy layer of mottled gray-violet, golden-rose, blue, and pale orange toning that in no way inhibits the luster below. Abrasions or other noticeable surface blemishes, as can be expected from the grade, are extremely minimal and unobtrusive. No doubt, one of the finest '22-S dollars in existence. Population: 4 in 66, none higher (6/95).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 257E, PCGS# 7359, Greysheet# 7900)
Weight: 26.73 grams
Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
