Description

1923-S Peace Dollar, MS65+
Conditionally Elusive Issue

1923-S $1 MS65+ PCGS. The 1923-S Peace dollar is common enough in circulated and lower Mint State grades from a mintage of 19 million coins, but Gem or finer examples are elusive. While PCGS has certified 180 of these as MS65, only nine examples have earned the Plus-designation, and only three are finer (10/19). Delicate gold and wispy blue toning visits both sides of this sharply struck piece that features a bold strike and pristine surfaces. The Set Registry collector may find this to be an ideal candidate. Population: 180 in 65 (9 in 65+), 3 finer (10/19).(Registry values: N2998)
