Description

Gem Quality 1923-S Peace Dollar

1923-S $1 MS65 PCGS. The 1923-S is undoubtedly the poorest produced issue in the Peace Dollar series. The main deterrent to locating a Gem is strike. And strike is definitely a consideration on the reverse of this piece. However, what offsets that lack of striking sharpness are surfaces that are virtually free from abrasions of any size coupled with coruscating mint luster and speckled multicolored toning. Population: 50 in 65, 3 finer (8/03).
