Description
Lustrous Gem 1923-S Peace Dollar
1923-S $1 MS65 PCGS. The 1923-S dollar usually comes poorly struck (David Bowers, 2006). Our Gem offering in this lot displays better-than-average definition, as evidenced by the sharpness in most of Liberty's hair. White surfaces exude bright luster, and are well preserved save for a few grade-consistent marks. Only four coins have been certified in a higher numerical grade by NGC and PCGS combined (3/09).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 257H, PCGS# 7362, GSID# 7902)
