Exceptional 1924-S Gem Dollar

1924-S $1 MS65 ANACS. David Bowers, in his 2006 Silver and Trade dollar reference book, writes of the 1924-S that "Mint State pieces are usually seen bagmarked." The current Gem falls entirely outside of this profile. Its frosty surfaces possess dazzling luster and are impeccably preserved. Only in the upper left reverse quadrant can a few inoffensive luster grazes be observed. Moreover, slivers of pastel rainbow color concentrate at the obverse margins, and meander through portions of the reverse. Unbelievable technical quality and aesthetic appeal!(Registry values: N4719)
