    1924-S Peace Dollar, MS65
    Only Two Finer Coins at NGC

    1924-S $1 MS65 NGC. The 1924-S Peace dollar claims a smallish-mintage of 1.7 million pieces and relatively few high-quality examples were saved by contemporary collectors, making the issue elusive at the MS65 grade level, and virtually unobtainable any finer. This well-detailed Gem exhibits well-preserved lustrous surfaces with a few hints of pale jade toning. Housed in a circa-2000 holder. Census: 78 in 65 (3 in 65+), 2 finer (11/18).(Registry values: N4719)
