1925-S Dollar, MS65
Deep, Attractive Toning
1925-S $1 MS65 NGC. CAC. This Gem 1925-S Peace dollar is one
of the keys to the series in this grade. This piece shows bold,
attractive, deep, original toning, unusual for a Peace dollar,
mostly gold and amber with ocean-blue, olive, russet, and crimson
tinges intermingled near the extreme rims. The strike through the
centers, while short of full, is better than normally seen. A few
marks on Liberty's chin and jaw determine the grade. This piece is
certified in an old-style "no-line fatty" NGC holder, which will
appeal to many collectors (in addition to the coin's numerous
