Satiny Gem 1925-S Peace Dollar
1925-S $1 MS65 NGC. Satin surfaces exhibit brilliant silver luster and excellent sharpness, slightly weak only at the central obverse. The grade is limited by a single faint hairline on Liberty's cheek. Slight roughness in the obverse field remains from the original planchet surface. Like several other issues, the 1925-S is an important condition rarity in the Peace dollar series, common enough in lower Mint State grade levels but scarce in Choice Mint State and rare in Gem Mint State. NGC and PCGS have graded less than 100 MS65 examples and none finer. Census: 51 in 65, 0 finer (8/07).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 257M, PCGS# 7366, GSID# 7904)
