Description
1925-S Peace Dollar, Well-Struck MS65
An Exceptional Example
1925-S $1 MS65 PCGS. CAC. The 1925-S, mintage 1.6 million
coins, is the second most elusive Peace dollar issue behind the
1928-S. The present Gem example is certified in a small-size PCGS
green-label holder, displaying copious cartwheel luster over
surfaces that appear silver-gray at first glance, but a loupe
reveals glints of rose and ice-blue. Strike and luster are normally
the grade-limiting factors, but this piece is far above-average in
both regards, with good high-point definition on both sides.
Contact marks are few on either side and consistent with the grade.
