Description

1926-D Peace Dollar, MS67
Powerfully Lustrous
One of Two So Graded at CAC

1926-D $1 MS67 PCGS. CAC. The 1926-D comes in for high praise from Roger W. Burdette, who writes in Guide Book of Peace Dollars, "The 1926 issue from Denver is one of the best in the entire series, with strong strikes and great luster. ... There are many high-quality coins around, and only a few have unsightly toning or dull luster." This Superb Gem exemplifies the best attributes of the issue, boasting powerful luster and a strong strike. Intermittent gold and violet border-toning supplies a colorful contrast to the near-brilliant interiors. An impressive coin that is housed in a green-label holder. Population: 8 in 67, 0 finer (7/15) -- the same population as when we last described this coin, more than four years ago. This piece is one of only two in this grade with the CAC green approval.
