Description

    1927 Peace Dollar, MS66
    Popular, Low-Mintage Issue

1927 $1 MS66 PCGS. In A Guide Book of Peace Dollars, Roger Burdette writes: "The 1927 issue is the rarest Philadelphia-minted coin in Uncirculated condition, although the 1928 is often given this honor because of its very low total mintage."
The 1927 is a condition rarity with 1,580 examples graded MS64 PCGS, 273 more graded MS65 PCGS, and a mere seven coins graded MS66 PCGS (3/11). This piece is one of those seven coins, displaying full satin brilliance. The strike is excellent, even in the centers, and eye appeal is extremely high. Both sides have pristine, untoned silver surfaces, with minimal and strictly microscopic marks.(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 257S, PCGS# 7370)

    Weight: 26.73 grams
