Description
Pleasing Conditionally Key 1927-S Dollar, MS65
1927-S $1 MS65 PCGS. The 1927-S Peace Dollar is, along with the 1925-S and 1928-S, the key to this popular series in Gem grades. A look at the population figures immediately gives some insight into why, as the major grading services combined have certified only 124 1927-S dollars in MS65, with only three finer (7/07). A look at the present coin only confirms its Gem status, as its bright satiny luster combines with a light wash of gold-olive luster to present a pleasing appearance. A few small surface marks can be seen, with one on Liberty's hair over the ear seemingly the only thing preventing an even higher grade. From The Arnold & Harriet Collection.(Registry values: N4719)
