Description
1928 Peace Dollar, MS65
Lowest Mintage in the Series
1928 $1 MS65 ANACS. The 1928 has the smallest mintage in the
regular Peace dollar series with only 360,649 coins produced. This
has always grabbed the attention of collectors, even those in 1928.
However, few examples seem to have been saved in Uncirculated
grades and quite a substantial percentage of the low mintage was
actually circulated. Gems are especially elusive. This piece has
bright, satiny mint luster and is untoned in the centers with just
a thin trace of peripheral golden color around each side. Fully
struck on each side.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 257V, PCGS# 7373, GSID# 7896)
