Description

1928 Peace Dollar Key, MS66
Ex: Jack Lee, None Finer Graded

1928 $1 MS66 PCGS. Ex: Jack Lee. This coin should form a special prize as the backbone of one of the nicest Peace dollar collections anywhere. Certified in a green-label holder with the Jack Lee pedigree printed on it, the present Premium Gem 1928 Peace dollar is one of the loveliest and most desirable representatives of the series, regardless of date. This piece is one of only 15 so graded at PCGS, and there are none finer (7/15). NGC has seen a mere five coins at the MS66 level. The surfaces are radiant silver-white yet completely original, accented on each side with a light tinge of gold and a blush of lilac near the obverse rim at 1:30. The strike is as close to full as ever seen on this issue, and contact marks are trivial, unseen without a loupe.
