Gem 1928-S Peace Dollar
With VAM-3 Doubled Die
1928-S $1 Doubled Die Obverse MS65 ANACS. VAM-3. A Top 50
Variety. While any variety designation on a Gem 1928-S Peace dollar
is superfluous to a certain extent, the chance to see a high-end
example with doubled crown is instructive. Green-gold and
silver-blue toning covers amply lustrous, largely smooth surfaces.
The sole significant fault is a rim bump below the 8 in the date.
