Description
Fully Struck 1934 Peace Dollar, MS67
1934 $1 MS67 NGC. Superb Gem Peace dollars of any stripe are exceedingly rare. Out of nearly a half-million Peace dollars that NGC has certified in all grades, 263 of them have been graded MS67, along with two MS68s (9/09). This works out to any Peace dollar submitted to NGC having an average chance of being graded MS67 at about 0.058%, or one in every 1,721 submissions. For the 1934 issue, NGC has certified five MS67 pieces, with none finer. This piece offers strikingly attractive satiny surfaces, with silver centers ceding to amber-gold rim toning. The impeccable strike has fully brought up Liberty's curls in the central obverse--a phenomenon almost never seen on this issue--and the appeal elsewhere on both sides is equally high. An essential acquisition for the finest type or Peace dollar set.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 257X, PCGS# 7375, GSID# 7897)
