VAM-3, Doubled Tiara
1934-S $1 Doubled Tiara, VAM-3, MS65 PCGS. A Top 50 Variety.
Doubling is strongest on the rays below BER. The 1934-S is
well-known as the key to the series in high grades. This brightly
frosted and essentially untoned Gem displays a good overall
impression with normal central softness. Chatter is superficial and
unobtrusive. There are a few specks of dark toning mainly around
the reverse border and above the second L in DOLLAR. Population for
VAM-3: 8 in 65 (1 in 65+), 0 finer (11/18).From The Woodford Collection of Morgan and Peace Dollars.
