Description

1934-S Peace Dollar, MS63
CAC-Endorsed; Key to the Series

1934-S $1 MS63 PCGS. CAC. Surfaces contain faint hints of champagne. Obverse abrasions before the eye and at the end of the motto are all that prevent a higher grade. Luster is prevalent and strike is strong, resulting in excellent eye appeal. Most of this issue was released into circulation, consistent with the Treasury's desire to inflate the money supply, which led to the production of 1934 dollars in the first place. As a result, this issue is difficult in Mint State, and is considered the key to the series.(Registry values: N1793)
