Description

Lightly Toned, Key Date 1934-S Peace Dollar

1934-S $1 MS64 PCGS. An issue whose scarcity was unheralded for many years as it was mistakenly assumed that quantities still existed in mint storage. This is an attractive specimen, with lustrous, satiny surfaces toned in pale silver hues and with hints of pastel-golden undertones. The surfaces are exceptionally clean for the grade, and are nearly perfect save for a couple of milling marks on the reverse and a small toning spot under the V of TRVST. Slightly lacking in detail through the central devices but otherwise boldly struck.(Registry values: N2998)
