1934-S Peace Dollar, MS64
Still the King of the Peace Dollar Series
1934-S $1 MS64 PCGS. It took a couple of decades for the
rarity of the 1934-S to be fully appreciated by collectors. It
became a date and mint mark combination that was conspicuous by its
absence--certainly a slow way to achieve fame. Nevertheless,
sometime in the 1950s the '34-S came into its own. This is a lovely
example and a high-end one at that. The surfaces display the usual
coruscating mint frost, and on this piece there are virtually no
abrasions to interrupt the racy luster. Each side displays just a
hint of light reddish patina and the strike is complete
