Description
Premium Gem 1934-S Peace Dollar
None Finer at Either Service
1934-S $1 MS66 PCGS Secure. Although there are some other
S-mint series entries, such as the 1928-S, that are rarer at the
Gem and Premium Gem levels, the 1934-S Peace dollar is a
low-mintage issue that is the rarest in Mint State overall. Only
slightly more than 1 million pieces were struck, during the height
of the Depression. This sparkling Premium Gem displays nice,
bright, coruscating luster. The surfaces are mostly brilliant, but
a light sprinkling of golden-brown patina appears on the right
margin of each side. The strike is sharp, and no obvious or
distracting marks appear. Among the few finest certified.
