Description
1925-S Peace Dollar, MS64+ CAC
Conditionally Scarce, Doubled Wing
1925-S $1 MS64+ PCGS. CAC. VAM-3. A Top 50 Variety.
Evidence of the doubling can be seen on the right wing of the eagle
as well as three die scratches near the Y in LIBERTY. The 1925-S
Peace dollar is a semikey date for the series in lower grades but
commends a substantially illustrious key date position in high Mint
State. This high-end near-Gem example displays soft silver luster,
interwoven with light golden hues and subtle purple undertones in
the margins. Abrasions and marks are minimal, though reed marks are
present on Liberty's portrait and some light strike softness is
observed on the wing.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 257M, PCGS# 7366, Greysheet# 7904)
Weight: 26.73 grams
Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
