1923-D Peace Dollar, MS66+
Only One Finer Certified Example
1923-D $1 MS66+ PCGS. CAC. The 1923-D Peace dollar claims a
substantial mintage of 6.8 million pieces. Unfortunately, most Mint
State examples seen today suffer from excessive bagmarks or
lackluster surfaces. The issue is definitely scarce at the MS66
grade level, and finer coins are virtually unobtainable. This
Plus-graded Premium Gem exhibits sharply detailed design elements
and virtually pristine surfaces, with vibrant mint luster on both
sides. A few subtle hints of lavender-gray toning add to the
terrific eye appeal. Only one finer coin has been certified by
either of the leading grading services, a single MS67 at PCGS
