Description
Ayacucho Provisional 1/2 Real 1882-B, KM202, AU58 NGC, 1.22 grams. This most enigmatic design, with its obsolete designation as being a Real denominated coin, has had a checkered history among numismatists, probably due to not fitting comfortably into any spot within their collection. Lustrous, with somewhat prooflike surfaces around Liberty's massive head, but with some field marks at the rim, Ex-Jim Elmen.From The Dana Roberts Collection.
