Description

Republic Silver Pattern 8 Reales 1826-JM Lima, type of KM142.1, Guttag Collection 4337B (this coin), Fonrobert Collection 9015, small Libertad, plain edge, 28.92 grams. Choice AU, lightly toned with semi-prooflike surfaces. The fields display some light marks. Extremely rare and important pattern struck to introduce the new coinage for the fledgling Republic of Peru.
