1909-S Peso Philippines Peso, KM-172, Allen-17.04, MS66
PCGS. Mintage: 7,578,000. The reduced silver content promoted
circulation of these coins, and high-grade examples such as this
Premium Gem are extremely rare, as the PCGS population data
reveals. This splendid 1909-S Philippines peso has an above average
strike and exhibits satin mint luster beneath its lovely
golden-brown and iridescent toning. Listed on page 435 of the 2020
Guide Book and on page 1315 of the fourth deluxe edition of
the Guide Book. Population: 3 in 66 (1 in 66+), 2 finer
