Phenomenally Fresh Early Die-State 6 Zlotych
Stanislaus Augustus 6 Zlotych (Taler) 1794 MS66 PCGS, Warsaw
mint, KM216, Dav-1623, Gum-2399, Kaminski/Kopicki-308,
Parchimowicz/Brzezinski-37.a4. Mintage: 182,000. A breathtaking and
absolutely singular example of this conditionally challenging
issue, revealing mercifully few planchet imperfections and a fresh
sheen of luster that can simply be described as enviable. The
detail is needle-sharp, a pronounced degree of stippling over the
devices complementing their already frosty sheen and meeting with
fine radiant flow lines in the fields. Undeniably struck from what
must have been very fresh dies, and decidedly specimen-like, this
current finest certified is not likely to be surpassed, and is very
likely amongst the finest extant.Ex. Heritage Auction #3030 (January 2014, Lot 24799)
