Description
Maria II gold 7500 Reis (Peça) 1835 MS63 NGC, Lisbon mint, KM407, Fr-141, Gomes-19.02. Mintage: 2,989. A coin which immediately strikes the viewer with its Prooflike characteristics, most noticeably its deep surface reflectivity. Though neither NGC nor PCGS has awarded any example of this one-year type with Prooflike status, we feel that the moniker would hardly be out of place here, given a clearly high level of attention paid to the strike at the mint that left every feature standing in sculpturesque relief.From the WTR Collection
