Description

1893 Barber Dime, PR68 Cameo
Boldly Contrasted Second-Year Proof

1893 10C PR68 Cameo NGC. Abundant field-device contrast occurs on each side of this untoned dove-gray second-year Barber dime proof, accompanied by the typical full proof strike and the unexpectedly fine subsequent surface preservation. Cameo examples of this issue are elusive, the present PR68 being one of only four in this grade at NGC, and tied for the finest as such (7/13).
