Description

Captivating 1894 Dime, PR67

1894 10C PR67 PCGS. CAC. The 1894 has the second highest mintage in the proof Barber dime series (972 pieces) after 1892. PCGS/NGC population figures indicate that it is available without too much difficulty through the Gem level of preservation. Better-condition examples are more challenging. The exquisitely struck design elements of this Superb Gem specimen stand out against the mirrored fields, and attractive toning bathes both sides. An array of lavender, green, and gold on the obverse cedes to bluish-purple covering the reverse. Close inspection reveals impeccably preserved surfaces.
