Description

1898 Barber Dime, PR67+ Cameo
CAC, Strong Visual Appeal

1898 10C PR67+ Cameo PCGS. CAC. Often considered the best-produced proof issue within the Barber dime series, the 1898 is one of the most common issues, with a mintage of 735 coins. This exceptional type piece displays a near-white portrait of Liberty that contrasts nicely against the mirrored fields, as does the slightly deeper ONE DIME device on the reverse. Lovely toning includes medium-intensity reddish-gold and deep electric-blue colors clinging to the borders, with deeper hues on the reverse. The design elements are razor-sharp and the surfaces are immaculately preserved. A wonderful example, this piece exudes outstanding eye appeal. PCGS Population: 19 in 67 (4 in 67+) Cameo, 6 finer (4/26). CAC: 11 in 67, 6 finer (4/26).
