    Description

    1904 Dime, PR68
    Seemingly Pristine, Tied for Finest

1904 10C PR68 NGC. Mottled blue, rose, olive, and amber toning shrouds the partly brilliant obverse, while the reverse shows somewhat more vibrant shades of electric-blue, turquoise, and apricot-orange. Seemingly pristine in every regard. Housed in a "no line fatty" holder.

Population Data (9/15): This PR68 example is tied with a PR68 coin at NGC, and PCGS shows a single submission in the same grade. One of the finest certified representatives.

Heritage Commentary: Proofs were purchased specifically for numismatic purposes, so it is unsurprising to find them in high grades; some pieces inevitably found their way into circulation as well. However, locating a proof in this virtually unimprovable condition never fails to amaze. From a mintage of 670 proofs.

    Provenance: Superior (3/2000), lot 296.(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 23GH, PCGS# 4888)

    Weight: 2.49 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
