Description

Strongly Contrasted 1892 Half, PR65

1892 50C PR65 NGC. The lack of a contrast designation on this lovely Gem is inexplicable, since each side offers more than enough contrast for a Cameo designation. A whisper of gold at the rims accents the deep, essentially untoned mirrors. A wonderful example of this popular first-year proof Barber half issue. Census: 38 in 65, 54 finer (3/08).(Registry values: N2998)
