1892 50C PR65 PCGS. The 1892 Barber half dollar enjoyed a
large proof mintage of 1,245 pieces and many examples were saved as
first-year type coins. The issue is definitely scarce at the Gem
level today, and attractive specimens are popular with type
collectors and series enthusiasts alike. The present coin exhibits
reflective fields and sharply struck, frosty devices. Population:
