Description

1892 Half Dollar, Toned PR67
First-Year Type Example

1892 50C PR67 NGC. The first year of Barber half dollar production experienced the highest proof mintage of the series (1,245 coins), making this issue ideal for type representation. The present coin boasts a full strike and deep, glassy fields. Splashes of ocean-blue, turquoise, amber, and pale gold toning encompass much of each side, precluding a Cameo designation from NGC, but providing equally strong eye appeal. Census: 15 in 67, 2 finer (5/15).(Registry values: N4719)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24NU, PCGS# 6539, Greysheet# 6627)
