Description

Gold-Tinged PR66 Cameo 1893 Half Dollar

1893 50C PR66 Cameo PCGS. Whatever initial excitement accompanied the arrival of the new Barber designs in 1892 died out quickly, replaced by apathy and corresponding three-figure mintages for silver proof sets for the rest of the series. This is a high-end Cameo specimen of the 1893 half dollar, gold-toned with color strongest at the margins and elegant frost over the devices.(Registry values: N2998)
