Description

1894 Half Dollar, Remarkably Toned PR66
Well-Preserved Example of This Early Issue

1894 50C PR66 PCGS. CAC. This third-year Barber issue displays remarkably well-preserved surfaces. The obverse is significantly more deeply toned than the reverse. It shows rich lilac and golden toning intermixed, but only moderately so, while the reverse is brilliant in the center with russet marginal toning. The devices on each side are frosted and show contrast against the illimitable depth of mirroring in the fields.(Registry values: N2998)
