1894 Half Dollar, PR66
Stately, Well-Preserved Proof
1894 50C PR66 PCGS. A few splashes of deeper olive-gray
toning visit the reverse of this otherwise ice-blue, lightly toned
Premium Gem proof half. The Breen Encyclopedia suggests the
1894 half dollar proofs are "usually only available badly cleaned"
yet this example is free of any such problems and full details
exist on both sides of the coin. Moderate field/device contrast
exists between the lightly frosted motifs and the mirrored
