Description

1894 Half Dollar, PR67
Concentric Toning

1894 50C PR67 PCGS. This third-year issue for the Barber design shows a dramatically reduced mintage for proofs of only 972 pieces, and a subsequent reduction in the number of high-grade pieces that were preserved. This is an exceptionally well-preserved example whose mirrored fields still flash strongly through the concentric multicolored toning seen on each side. The frosted devices are abundantly evident through the toning. Population: 10 in 67, 0 finer (9/14).(Registry values: N4719)
