Description

1896 50C Barber Half PR67+ NGC. CAC. The 1896 Barber half proof, made in the amount of 762 pieces, shows enhanced desirability because of the low circulation strike mintage of 950,000 coins. This PR67+ example displays reflective luster throughout both sides, with about equal portions of pastel light blue and pinkish-gold. The eye appeal is excellent, and there are no obvious marks. A touch of strike weakness appears at the upper-right shield corner. Census: 14 in 67 (1 in 67+), 6 finer (6/12).
