Description

Original, Delicately Patinated 1897 Half in PR66

1897 50C PR66 PCGS. The peripheries display a dusting of pale tan iridescence that deepens ever so slightly in a few areas at the reverse denticles. Otherwise razor sharp, the impression wanes a little over the eagle's right (facing) shoulder. With glowing fields and nary a distracting blemish to report, this coin has the eye appeal, if not the technical quality, of an even higher grade.
From the Bay Area Collection.
